Calling all alpha females, this book is for you!
I love a great alpha male story but can't stand when the female lead just let's go of her control without a fight. I loved this story because the lead is a strong, confident woman that doesn't need anyone to make her life complete but she chooses to give someone the chance. Heidi commands respect. She is in complete control of her life: She says who. She says when. She makes the rules. And if you don't like them, its over. She runs her own business and confronts any threat head on. Her only vulnerable spot is her son but even then she pulls herself together without someone holding her hand. Enter Nick; alpha male, politician, rich and hot as blazes. The author says Nick is inspired by William Levy. Trust me and look him up before you read this book, so hot! Nick only sleeps with disposable women, the kind he doesn't care about. He's been hurt before so he keeps his walls up and does not trust women. For some reason he wants to help Heidi. Hot, hot, hotness ensues! The writing was engaging and the story flowed naturally, I especially enjoyed the occasional sections where the characters spoke directly to the reader. The characters are deep with interesting pasts which are revealed individually, Heidi's upfront just like her personality and Nick's slowly like he's a puzzle to figure out. If your an alpha female do yourself a favor and read this book! You won't be disappointed!
