Who would have ever thought that reading fictional stories about pregnancy loss would be so cathartic?
When I discovered Deanna Roy's Forever Series, I felt like I was drowning in my pain. I had already had 10 miscarriages & I just had a failed IVF (2 embryos) the pain of my loss was getting past the point of return for me. I had to find a release, an escape, anything to get me through my pain. After my 2nd miscarriage, I attended a support group at the hospital, but it only made me feel like I was a complete whiner because the people in that support group actually got to hold their babies that the lost and I am not sure I would have been able to survive that experience. So, I decided to look at other ways to cope with my pain. I am not even sure how I stumbled upon Forever Innocent, but I couldn't help but think that it was meant to be. I devoured ALL of Deanna's books. There was something about reading stories of woman who had experienced loss, overcame their pain and moved on with their life. Deanna Roy has perfectly mixed pregnancy loss with a beautiful love story of hope and healing.
So, for anyone who has experienced pregnancy loss of any kind or even infertility, then you should absolutely check out her books.
Check out Deanna's personal story, blog posts & her books. She also has two other pen names that she writes under that do not have anything to do with pregnancy loss. Annie Winters -The Vigilante's Lover series & JJ Knight -The MMA Fighter Series. You will not be disappointed.
